This 2-day trip is perfect for new anglers eager to learn the five essential methods of freshwater fly fishing or seasoned anglers looking to sharpen their skills. The package includes a 2-night stay at our cozy Northstar condo.
About the fishing
You'll learn where, when, and how to fly fish for wild trout using five key techniques across 3-4 stunning locations, including the beautiful Truckee River and surrounding lakes and streams. We’ll dive into fishing tactics, gear setup, rigging systems, fly selection, river etiquette, and conservation practices. By the end of this comprehensive course, you’ll have a solid grasp of the essential aspects of freshwater fly fishing—far ahead of trying to figure it out on your own.
This trip is fully customizable, so you can focus on the techniques and water types that interest you most.

About the condo
Boot Camp anglers stay in our 1-bedroom Ski-in / Ski-out condo at Tahoe’s Northstar Resort. One queen bed and a queen sofa sleeper In the living room, this condo sleeps 4 people.
Enjoy resort amenities like pool, hot tub, gym, village shops / restaurants, mountain bike park, movie theater, and skiing in the winter.
A shuttle service (TART) can take you to Truckee, Lake Tahoe, and Donner Lake.
This condo is perfect for family members, or friends to enjoy while you’re out on your fly-fishing adventure.
